  1. Natural Mating:
    Roosters will mate with hens by mounting and depositing sperm in the hen's oviduct.

Chicken sperm can survive in the hen's reproductive tract for several weeks, which is why separating hens from other roosters is important for maintaining breed purity.

  1. Egg Collection and Incubation:
    After mating, fertile eggs will be laid by the hens.
    These eggs can be collected and incubated, either naturally by a broody hen or artificially using an incubator.
    Incubation typically takes around 21 days, but can vary depending on the breed.
  2. Chick Rearing:
    Once the eggs hatch, the chicks need to be raised and cared for until they mature.
    Proper nutrition and a suitable environment are crucial for their development.

You do not need to do anything special in order to breed your chickens, just introduce the rooster to your flock and let nature take its course. Make sure both your hens and your rooster are eating quality food. This will ensure that their reproductive systems are as strong as possible
